Hall de l'hôtel particulier dans lequel est installé le musée Cernuschi Construit par l'architecte d'origine hollandaise, William Bouwens van der Boijen, pour Henri Cernuschi, républicain, financier et grand collectionneur d'art asiatique, l'hôtel particulier, situé avenue Velasquez à Paris, porte la marque du style néoclassique en vogue en Italie du Nord vers 1840. De son vivant, Henri Cernuschi en a fait un des hauts-lieux du japonisme parisien de 1876 à 1896. À sa mort en 1896, il a légué l'hôtel et ses collections à la ville de Paris.
