Yomiuri Shimbun headquarters
Jake Adelstein joined the Yomiuri Shimbun on 15 April 1993, the first non-Japanese staff writer on the paper, in its Urawa bureau in Saitama. He stayed twelve years.
On screen the paper is the fictional Meicho Shimbun. Its newsroom was an eight-storey office building near Tokyo Bay.
The Yomiuri was founded in 1874 and is headquartered in Ōtemachi. It has been called the largest-circulation newspaper in the world.
An office tower; look at it from the street. Ōtemachi Station is underneath.
