Fields Corner

The film is set in Dorchester: two Boston private investigators search for a girl taken from her single mother’s apartment there.

Slate’s reviewer wrote that the Dorchester scenes were shot around Fields Corner and along Dorchester Avenue, which locals call Dot Ave.

He also noted the film’s exteriors of three-decker apartment buildings, and praised its regional accents.

His complaint: no Vietnamese residents or shops appear, though Fields Corner has a growing Vietnamese community.
