The Carlton, Cannes

Wikipedia calls the Carlton a central location for To Catch a Thief.

A fan location list says it is where Frances Stevens and her mother stay.

Grace Kelly stayed at the Carlton during the 1955 Cannes Film Festival and met Prince Rainier III there for an arranged photo shoot. They married in 1956.

The hotel opened on 30 January 1911. It reopened in March 2023 as Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel.

A working seafront hotel. La Croisette is a public promenade; rooms and bars are for guests.

The Corniche

Three roads above the sea

Wikipedia describes three Corniche roads east of Nice. Pick one.

The Grande Corniche sits on the high cliffs, and it featured prominently in To Catch a Thief, says Wikipedia.

Wikipedia calls Èze an eagle’s nest, on a cliff about 427 metres above the sea.

A fan location list says an arched viaduct carries Avenue de Verdun into Èze, between Villefranche-sur-Mer and Monaco, and that the car drives through La Turbie.
