Unsure about her future, Charlotte goes to Kyoto alone by shinkansen.
Shinkansen trains from Tokyo stop here. The temples are a subway and a walk away.

Charlotte climbs the steps to the Sanmon gate and comes upon a traditional wedding party.
Daily 8.40am–5pm to 30 November, 8.40am–4.30pm December to February; last entry 20 minutes before closing. Closed to visitors 28–31 December. Climbing the gate costs ¥600.

There is a short shot of Heian Shrine, where Charlotte reads her fortune.
An active shrine, open every day. Fortunes are tied in the gravel courtyard. On 22 October the Jidai Matsuri procession arrives here.
