The city becomes a picture for sale.
The locations are ordinary businesses and public spaces, made ominous by what the character does with them. Look for the contrast between an attractive view and the transaction taking place in front of it. The film’s violence is fiction; these are living places with people using them today.
Locations are sequenced as a fan journey, not a plot recap. Songs, scenes and episodes lead the route; changed, private and doubled sites are labelled rather than smoothed into fiction.
5 public-place or area references. Private properties and unlocated historic sites stay off the map.

01Lou steals a bicycle along Ocean Front Walk. The production filmed north of Windward Avenue; the image is a wider boardwalk view rather than an exact shot match.

02KTLA’s Sunset Boulevard frontage supplies the fictional station’s exterior. The newsroom interiors were filmed at the former KCET facility, a different site.
View the frontage from the public sidewalk. A working broadcast site with restricted access.
03The Hollywood El Compadre becomes Cabanita, where Lou meets Nina for dinner. The restaurant’s warm interior holds one of the film’s most uncomfortable negotiations.

04Sunset Bronson Studios stands in for the television station where Lou sells his footage; studio access is controlled.

Exact title and mapped-place matches come first. A clearly labelled city film or music programme may follow when it helps extend the journey.
No strong current event association is published for this World. We would rather leave this quiet than force a generic city listing.
A shared venue or neighbourhood connects a programme to the map; a city-level programme connects only to the World’s medium. Neither implies a themed event, cast appearance or artist performance. Confirm dates, location, access and tickets with the organiser.
