In the final episode the pair meet in Tavistock Square Gardens. Tavistock Square is among the first series’ London locations. St James’s Park is on the list of the first series’ London locations.

The first series came out on Prime Video on 31 May 2019 and ran on BBC Two from 15 January to 19 February 2020.

Pyramids Studio, Bathgate

The second series’ Soho street, with the bookshop, a record shop, a pub and a coffee shop, was built on a soundstage at the Pyramids Business Park.

Den of Geek found the bookshop set stocked with over 7,000 real books on movable shelves. The study held Terry Pratchett’s hat and scarf. The magic shop’s counter top came from a reclamation yard in Glasgow.

The studio was the Pyramids Studio in Bathgate. Eighteen trainees were recruited for the production. It filmed from October 2021 to March 2022 in and around Bathgate. In the first series the Soho street and the bookshop had been built at Bovingdon.

An 18-week Scottish shoot had just wrapped when Screen Global Production reported it on 2 March 2022. The series came out on 28 July 2023. A third series was halted in September 2024 after allegations against Gaiman, who left the production in October 2024. It became one 90-minute finale, released on 13 May 2026.
