Budokan scale and a lost Shinjuku stage
Follow two Tokyo stages that Sony’s own release archive connects directly to YMO, with the vanished Shinjuku venue clearly separated from the arena that still stands.
Read in this order, then plan travel between the public locations. Historical references and private properties are not visitor stops. This is a story sequence, not a timed walking itinerary.

Where It Was / OpenStreetMap contributors · Map design © Where It Was; coordinate data © OpenStreetMap contributors / ODbL · Location map Sony Music documents YMO’s Winter Live recordings at Shinjuku Koma Theater on 22–24 December 1981. The theater closed in 2008; the current Shinjuku Toho Building occupies the former site.
Read the address from the public street or visit current businesses normally. Do not expect the 1981 auditorium to survive.
