The Lloyd Rees fountain near Martin Place and Pitt Street is where Neo is distracted by the Woman in the Red Dress.
The crossing in the agent training program and the fountain beside it were both filmed at Martin Place and Pitt Street.
Keanu Reeves’s neck injury meant filming began with scenes that needed little physical effort, and Martin Place’s fountain was one of the first locations.
The fountain opened in December 1976 on the east side of Pitt Street, near the Commonwealth Bank building. It has been rebuilt since the film was made.
Martin Place was also where the final fight between Neo and Agent Smith in The Matrix Revolutions was filmed.

All but a few scenes were filmed at Fox Studios in Sydney and in the city itself. Recognisable landmarks were mostly kept out, so the city would read as anywhere.
Fox Studios Australia was created in May 1998 on the site of the old Sydney Showground at Moore Park. It is now Disney Studios Australia.
FilmInk says the new studios were finished just in time for The Matrix to be built and filmed there.
Filming began in March 1998 and wrapped in August 1998. Principal photography took 118 days.
The first 40 days were spent on rooftops in downtown Sydney. The production also used Fox’s new stages and several converted warehouses.
The subway fight was planned for a real station but moved to a set built around an existing train storage facility, with real tracks.
The helicopter was a full-scale, lightweight mock-up hung on a wire rope from the studio roof beams.
It flew about 20 feet above the stage floor in front of a TransLight 190 by 40 feet, made from altered Sydney photographs with white skies.
For bullet time, an array of still cameras around the actors was fired fractions of a second apart against a chroma-key screen. Put together, the frames reach 12,000 per second, against film’s usual 24.
Inside the Matrix the design leans to green; in the real world it leans to blue.
Bill Pope used green filters and green in the colour timing for the Matrix, and made its skies white.
The helicopter crash was a model, filmed just outside Sydney at what was then the Londonderry WorkSafe test range.

ABBA’s first live show in Australia was at the Sydney Showground in Moore Park, on the wet evening of 3 March 1977.
About 20,000 people came. Rain flooded the stage, and during Waterloo Anni-Frid slipped and sat down.
She said the fans who kept dancing and singing in the rain had shown real loyalty.
They played again the next night, without rain.
The Royal Easter Show was held here from 1882 until it moved to Sydney Olympic Park in 1997.
The site became Fox Studios Australia in 1998 and is now the Entertainment Quarter.

Home and Away
The official tourism site identifies Palm Beach with the series. This is a broad beach association, not an entrance pin or a promise of access to filming.
Association evidence
PROBABLE · The cited source supports this association. Independent historical verification, exact footprint and canonical subject relationships remain open.
Historical continuity and current state are still under review. See the individual source notes; no surviving-building claim is inferred.

The Great Gatsby (2013)
The college’s exterior doubles for Gatsby’s mansion. Exterior evidence does not establish interior filming.

PROBABLE · The cited source supports this association. Independent historical verification, exact footprint and canonical subject relationships remain open.
ICMS identifies its working Northern Beaches campus at 151 Darley Road, Manly. Its Gatsby account identifies the sandstone building as Moran House, formerly a seminary; the film altered the forecourt and added turrets digitally. The campus is not an intact Gatsby set.
The current campus page offers booked tours and identifies a courtyard café open to the public. This does not grant unrestricted campus, accommodation or filming-area access. Ask the operator about the appropriate visit; the 2021 article describes prospective-student tours, not a general film-tour entitlement.
ICMS’s own account identifies Moran House, formerly St Patrick’s Seminary, as the Gatsby mansion location. Filming took place September–December 2011 while classes continued. The forecourt gained a fountain, white pebbles and ivy; palms were removed and replaced, and turrets added digitally. The physical college and the finished screen mansion are distinct.

Approximate campus site point from the operator’s Get directions link: the explicit place target is latitude -33.8039881, longitude 151.2938695, rounded here. This is not a Moran House entrance or camera position. The Manly wharf shuttle pickup GPS on the same page is a different location and is not used. Restricted campus access keeps this point out of the public review map.

The former power station is now used for cultural programming following conservation and remediation. Its operator identifies the Robert Street/Mullens Street location in Rozelle and explicitly limits opening to scheduled events.
Check the operator’s current programme before visiting. Gate 1 is the Robert Street pickup/drop-off entrance; the Entertainment Hall uses Gate 5 on Victoria Road. Event access does not establish access to the historic filming footprint. No visitor route or point coordinate is inferred.
