Plain lettering. She would not stand for it.

Every patch a piece of her: twelve years old in 1959, beside Porter Wagoner in 1969, an RCA star in 1970 and 1977. She grew up in a two-room cabin in the Smoky Mountain foothills and never toned anything down after. She died on 25 August 2026; her country is still here to visit.

After the 2016 wildfires, which claimed 14 lives, her My People Fund raised more than $9 million and gave $5,000 each to more than 800 families who lost their homes. In 2019 the fund gave what was left to the eight volunteer fire departments in Sevier County that fought the fires.
