Up the hill from the island

Halfway up this steep street of terraces is the house where Stacey and her mum live.
Uncle Bryn’s house is just across the street.

Barry Island
The series keeps coming back to Barry Island’s waterfront, arcades and beach. Whitmore Bay is the busiest beach in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Barry Island railway station puts you right at the heart of the filming locations. The official Gavin and Stacey tour, on the original Dave’s coach from the show, is based at the station.
