Asked first

The records were cleared

In the film Shaun and Ed throw records at zombies. Wikipedia says Edgar Wright asked the artists for permission to use their records.

Sade agreed to let Diamond Life be destroyed in the scene, and New Order let its cover art appear, Wikipedia says.

It adds that the zombie extras were recruited partly from fans of Spaced; local children joined too, bringing about fifty child zombies to more than 150 adults.

Wikipedia says shooting took place on location in London and at Ealing Studios.
