The story is a book, so this is one: 9 pages, one real place on each, from the cliffs in County Clare to the studio bedroom filmed last. Haddon Hall, on the cover, is the inside and outside of Prince Humperdinck’s castle.

The Cliffs of Insanity, in the establishing shot

Cliffs of Moher

Wikipedia’s film article says the establishing shot of the Cliffs of Insanity was the Cliffs of Moher.

The cliffs run about 14 km along the County Clare coast and reach 214 m just north of O’Brien’s Tower.

O’Brien’s Tower, a round stone tower near the middle of the cliffs, was built in 1835 by Sir Cornelius O’Brien.

A clifftop visitor site on the Clare coast. The coastal walk was reported closed in 2025, so check cliffsofmoher.ie before you go.
