Built in 1916, this Collegiate Gothic Revival-style building was designed by Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge to serve as a women's clubhouse and gymnasium for the University of Chicago. The building is clad in limestone with a gabled roof, bay windows and oriel windows, a recessed front entrance bay, a large rear wing with gothic arched windows that originally contained a gymnasium and natatorium, a two-story rear wing with stucco cladding and half-timbering at the second floor, and a cloister surrounding a courtyard at the northwestern corner of the building. The building today houses the Office of Career Advancement and event space for the University of Chicago.. Openly licensed photograph selected near the verified coordinates.
