A world beyond the screen
Enter Six Feet Under through the Fisher home, then follow its Los Angeles language of preparation rooms, burial grounds and the beach where “Ecotone” turns grief into a threshold.
This is not a cemetery checklist. The route moves from the private residence used as Fisher & Sons’ exterior to the studio where its interior life was constructed, then outward to places where the family’s work and grief can no longer be separated. Each stop is tied to a particular function in the series: home, set, ritual, confession and passage.
THE COLLECTOR’S CUT / LIFE / DEATH / LOS ANGELES
A family home built around death, the cemeteries where ritual becomes personal, and a Pacific horizon that carries the series toward its final transformation.

Locations are sequenced as a fan journey, not a plot recap. Songs, scenes and episodes lead the route; changed, private and doubled sites are labelled rather than smoothed into fiction.

The Fisher family’s funeral-home façade belongs to a real building in West Adams. It anchors the show even when the rooms and events behind it are produced elsewhere.

Private property. This is a story reference, not a visitor stop; no directions are provided.
Sunset Gower is part of Six Feet Under’s production history. The studio connection should not be confused with the funeral-home exterior or treated as a preserved Fisher family set.

Working studio property. Access requires authorisation; no set tour is promised.
Mountain View Cemetery carries Nathaniel Fisher Sr.’s funeral in the pilot and recurs within the series’ landscape of ritual. It is a real working cemetery, not a backlot, and visits should remain quiet and respectful.
Before you go
Visit only during posted cemetery hours. Do not interrupt services, approach mourners or treat graves as props.
The cemetery’s San Juan Hill landscape is associated with a direct exchange between Nate and David, making burial space a place for the brothers to say what the funeral home often leaves unspoken.
Before you go
This is an active national cemetery. Keep to public roads and paths, observe all posted rules and give ceremonies complete privacy.
Sycamore Cove supplies the beach in “Ecotone,” where Nate travels with Nathaniel and David inside a dreamlike passage between family memory and death. The real beach gives one of the series’ most liminal sequences its horizon.
Before you go
Use the signed state-park access, check current parking and surf conditions, and leave the shoreline as you find it.

Exact title and mapped-place matches come first. A clearly labelled city film or music programme may follow when it helps extend the journey.
A shared venue or neighbourhood connects a programme to the map; a city-level programme connects only to the World’s medium. Neither implies a themed event, cast appearance or artist performance. Confirm dates, location, access and tickets with the organiser.
