The fan location list puts Gail’s apartment on Gay Street in Greenwich Village.

The same list places Carlito’s arrest at the junction of Waverly Place and the end of Gay Street.

Penelope Ann Miller played Gail and received a Golden Globe nomination, Wikipedia says.

The real club · East 60th Street

The fan list places a scene in which Kleinfeld lets the prison-break plot slip at the former Copacabana nightclub, 10 East 60th Street at Madison Avenue.

It notes that the Copacabana closed in 1992, the year before the film. It says the Avra Madison restaurant now occupies the site, at 14 East 60th Street.
