Set in Peckham, sold to you from everywhere else. The flats were in Acton, then Bristol; the market was a football car park; the famous fall was in a Bristol cellar. Every price on the line is a pound a mile from Rye Lane.

Roll up

Eight lots. All genuine.
Well, all real.

Ashton Gate stadium and its car park were used for scenes at the famous Peckham market. Del sold out of a suitcase on legs; this one sells the places. Each starts at a pound for every mile from Rye Lane, and every “no” knocks a third off.

The man who wrote it
wrote it by the sea.

John Sullivan, who created Only Fools and Horses, was one of the original owners of a flat in Prince of Wales Court and wrote many episodes there. The plaque was the idea of his neighbour, Joni van Oortmarssen; neighbours raised £1,500 for it, and his wife, Sharon, was to unveil it in November 2022.
