Home Alone

The house is real. Most of what happens inside it was built in a school gym.

671 Lincoln Avenue

The house is real.

The McCallister house is 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, a suburb north of Chicago. Home Alone 2 came back to it. It is a red-brick Georgian house built in 1921, with five bedrooms on a little over half an acre.

It was fully renovated and enlarged in 2018. The front door and the central staircase Kevin sleds down survived. Listed in May 2024 at $5.25 million, it drew a $5.5 million offer within a week; the sale was reported in January 2025. By December 2025 the new owners were reported to be restoring parts of the house towards its look on screen.

A private family home. Look from the pavement on Lincoln Avenue, briefly and quietly; stay off the drive and the lawn.
